At Greystone, we revel in the beauty of God's ordered creation and push hard against the haste and waste of modern life. This, and not only rigorous study and research, is the Greystone way. We routinely slow down with quality food and drink and extended table conversation, song, and laughter, believing that this habit helps strengthen and enrich our relationships to one another, to the texts and ideas we discuss, and to the God who has wisely made us the ways we are. The times and seasons of the year, then, and the occasions we have for marking God's faithfulness in them, are important to the Greystone community.

This year, we are pleased to inaugurate the Greystone Winter Feast, a new tradition in which we hope to encourage this way of life as a Greystone-wide phenomenon. We invite all our students, friends old and new, supporters, and curious inquirers to join us at our table in Coraopolis (Pittsburgh), PA for exquisite locally-grown and harvested food, carefully-paired wine, boisterously joyful singing of selections from the Greystone Chanted Psalter and other psalms and hymns, laughter, conversation, and untold other unplanned moments of revelry. Stand with us at table to belt out the "Boar's Head Carol" as our pig, "Longview," completes his life's journey from our local farm through our kitchen to our table, regally resting on his platter-bed. Hear some updates of what the Lord is doing for and through Greystone. Catch up with friends, sharing God's mercies and grace in life, home, ministry, and community. Celebrate the deep goodness of God the Creator and generous Father, and do so with the warmth of Christian devotion that melts the harshest winter chill. Celebrate the Gospel heartily together in a world and in a time pierced through with many sorrows, frozen with fear and loneliness. Here on this night, in Greystone's Hall, there will be no bleak midwinter.

Come eat, drink, and be merry, for in Christ we live! We look forward to seeing you.
